OS X Tiger 10.4.9 on Asus U5f

Since I'd like to buy a Mac PowerBook Pro, I need to trial OS X first.
This is why I install OS X on U5f.

I think that the disk utility in installation DVD of OS X is a little strange....
When you press Partition button, it will split all partitions in the schedule. EVEN if you didn't make any GOD DAMN change ! So, I lost my WinXP and Ubuntu partitions and also data inside.
That's talk about my experience...

At beginning, I tried to use OS X's installation DVD to make a partition for OS X. ( just as Multibooting said). I failed 3 times ( even if after crashing my WinXP and Ubuntu ).Maybe because of my unfamiliar on OS X.
This make me so upset...Orz

Today, I made some changes.
  1. Install WinXP.
  2. Use fdisk to split disk space for OS X ( instead of OS X's disk utility ). as 蘋果的 X86 遊記
  3. Only erase the partition and format it as a Mac OS Extended (Journaled). as 5.5 Step Five: Show Time!
  4. Choose universal kernel image v.3( May 7, 07' ) and Intel GMA 950 for U5f.
  5. After installation, boot loader will detect the WinXP information and arrange a choice for WinXP.
  6. Now, I have a WinXP and OS X Tiger in Asus U5f.
But I don't have animations on apple dock right now.
Maybe, the display driver doesn't install well.
I'll report more information after tuning up Asus U5f.
